What we keep, and for how long
Last updated 30 October 2026
The short version: Tricksy has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The only thing you tell us is the name you play under. Other players at your table see it, and we delete the table as soon as everyone has left.
This policy covers the Tricksy card games (Batak and Pishti) on the website at tricksy.cards and in the Tricksy app for iPhone.
What you give us
- Your player name. You type it before you sit down, and it can be up to 20 characters. Everyone at your table sees it. It doesn't have to be your real name, and a nickname is a good idea.
- Your moves. Your bids, trump choices and cards played go to the game server so it can run the game.
We never ask for your email, phone number, location, contacts, photos or any other personal details.
What stays on your device
The app and the website remember a few things on your phone or in your browser, so you don't have to set them again:
- the name you last played under,
- the table mode you last picked,
- whether sound is on or off,
- a random seat key that lets you get back to your table if your connection drops.
These never leave your device, except the seat key, which is sent back to the server when you rejoin. Deleting the app, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes them.
What the game server keeps
While a table is open, the server stores what it needs to run the game: the names at the table, the cards, bids and scores. When the last person leaves the table, all of this is deleted. We don't keep a history of games or players.
Tricksy runs on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver the game to you, and our server logs (times of requests and any errors) are kept for a few days so we can fix problems. We don't use these logs to identify or follow anyone.
Who we share it with
Nobody, apart from Cloudflare as our hosting provider. We don't sell data, show ads or use tracking or analytics services.
Children
Tricksy is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information beyond a player name. Because other players see that name, children should play under a nickname.
Your choices
Since there are no accounts, there is nothing for you to close or download: your settings live on your device, and table data disappears when the table closes. If you have a question, or want to report a player name, email support@tricksy.cards.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
